Energetics and Informatics: the 7th ADA Symposium, was held in Whanganui, December 10-12, 2010. Invited keynotes were Douglas Kahn, David Haines and Joyce Hinterding. The symposium examined the relationship between energy and information in media arts and included a screening programme and two exhibitions.
The 6th Aotearoa Digital Arts Symposium was hosted by Victoria University in Wellington and examined the critical intersections between digital materials and art practice. Invited keynotes were Phil Dadson, and Matthew Fuller with Eric Kluitenberg. The symposium examined the relationship of the digital to matter and questioned the role of critical discourse in contemporary art practice.

Tending Networks addresses new developments, connections, and opportunities in digital, new media and electronic art practice in New Zealand and internationally.
The 4th Symposium, ADA@SCANZ was hosted by WITT and the Govett Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth. It focused on local contexts for digital and electronic practices and included keynotes by Danny Butt and Su Ballard. It was followed by a day of workshops lead by SCANZ residents.
