Videodrome
The Videodrome descends from a Vogel Street Penthouse on request from the participant. Once wearing the diving helmet participants must trust the iPhone device adhered to the inside latch in order to navigate their immediate/ restricted environment via live action camera. The object/ device integrates the physical surroundings, blending site-specific virtual data using Augmented Reality technology.

Drawing a Paper Canoe
Draw/record a walk along old (approximate) water routes in the upper city and to communicate progress via contemporary media which is visible in real time to symposium members on the sea line (shown on a screen and at the ADA Symposium in the Wharf/warehouse area).

Mesh Cities Artist Tour 2013
Mesh Cities Artist for 2013 is Dr Janine Randerson who will developing a collaborative network for a new work. ‘Neighbourhood Hope Index’ uses clouds and sound to map affective zones in post-earthquake Christchurch. The framework for this artwork stems from the emergent currency of data in the plan for a better city. A so-called silver lining for the embattled inhabitants is that a ‘smart’ city may emerge where the instrumental measurement of traffic flows, water quality, air quality and urban weather can be remedied.

Un Litro de Agua

The Un Litro de Agua project aims to establish and support dialogue between Colombian and New Zealand artists and the wider public through a series of collaborative arts events. The project facilitates discussion and critical thinking around sustainable water practices through workshops, exhibitions, urban interventions and platforms for public participation and dialogue. -
121212 UpStage Festival of Cyberformance
The 121212 UpStage Festival of Cyberformance will take place 5-12 December 2012. The festival will feature 38 live online performances created and presented in UpStage and a variety of other online platforms (including Water-Wheel’s the Tap, SecondLife, Visitors Studio and other purpose built networked environments).

Neighbourhood Air

An interactive, online artwork that gathers live pollutant levels from Auckland City air. The collaborative project includes urban meteorologists, programmers, media artists and breathers of air as a continuous feedback mechanism. Sensor instruments in Auckland, New Zealand provide a platform for continuously accessible, real-time information about city air quality.
